Environmental Policy
Management System
At Sumitomo Warehouse, the Environmental Subcommittee, a subcommittee of the Sustainability Committee chaired by the President, formulates measures for the Group’s environment, checks the progress of these measures, and shares information based on instructions from the Sustainability Committee. The Environmental Subcommittee’s activity plan is implemented after approval by the Sustainability Committee, and the details are reported to the Board of Directors. The progress of environment-related issues and targets is confirmed every quarter, and a report is made to the Sustainability Committee and the Board of Directors at least once a year, with management of environment being carried out by receiving necessary instructions from the Board of Directors through the Sustainability Committee.
The Environmental Subcommittee primarily promotes activities related to climate change, prevention of pollution and effective utilization of resources, and biodiversity and establishes an environmental management system that operates the PDCA cycle based on policies, objectives, and targets.
Acquisition of ISO14001 Certification (Environmental Management System)
The Sumitomo Warehouse Group has obtained ISO 14001 certification, an international standard for environmental management systems, for the following companies.

Acquisition of the Green Management Certification
“Green Management Certification” refers to certification and registration conducted by the Foundation for Promoting Personal Mobility and Ecological Transportation to enterprises recognized by the Foundation to have reduced the environmental impacts of their business operations.
Sumitomo Warehouse has received Green Management Certification in the warehousing business and harbor transportation business.

Environmental Training and Communication
Environmental Training and Awareness-raising Activities
Sumitomo Warehouse continuously conducts environmental education and awareness activities to raise awareness of environmental conservation. In addition to explaining our environmental policies and targets when employees join the Company, we regularly (at least once a year) disseminate information on environmental themes through the Company’s intranet and company newsletters, providing ongoing education and awareness to all employees. Furthermore, in FY 2024, we conducted tiered education, including holding lectures by external speakers for management personnel responsible for planning and promoting our environmental initiatives.
Promotion of Dialog with Stakeholders
We are enhancing the disclosure and communication of our environmental initiatives (including integrated reports and websites). We began to issue a integrated report in 2024 and strive to enrich its content.
