Generating New Value through an Integrated Information System for Logistics
Sumitomo Warehouse employs cutting-edge information technologies and equipment to build systems that effectively support logistics and meet a broad range of logistics needs.

Comprehensive Logistics System using Cutting-Edge IT
Business transactions are undergoing a transformation as advances are made in the field of IT. In-progress distribution information is provided to the customer in real time through electronic data, which helps customers optimize logistics.

STOCS: Sumitomo Warehouse Total Online Control System

Inventory management via a nationwide online system was begun in 1974. We apply our cumulative know-how to provide conscientious distribution services for all types of cargo. Improved connectivity to our Web system enables inventory searches and import/export history searches via the Internet.
In addition, different types of required data can be sent to the customer's computer in easily usable CSV or Excel format.

i-SMART: Integrated inventory and forwarding system

This is a standalone base inventory management and forwarding system based on STOCS. Improved connectivity with STOCS and our Web system allows us to supply all types of data to the customer. The structure also allows for flexible addition of functionality, such as better integration of VMI.

-VMI Warehouse-compatible System
We handle component procurement and distribution by keeping components for each vendor together in a single location and supplying the amounts needed to factories when they are needed.
Transport progress from each vendor to VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) warehouses, factories, and storage status can be searched and viewed from the computer of the customer, vendor, or warehouse.

i-CTS: Cargo Trace System

Seaborne inventory inquiries with various parameters (status management, cargo tracing)
Improved connectivity through information sharing with the receiving warehouse (from receipt notification to the warehouse through work completion)

Trunk Room Management System

Improved connectivity with our Web system allows searches for inventory data and makes it possible to give directions such as collection and disposal or changing storage expiration periods. Also, inventory reports and other types of reports can be transmitted in CSV format as instructed.

Cy2000: Container Yard Management System

This system is designed for container loading and unloading ships, carrying in and out of a container yard, and the creation of yard plans and container ship bay plans. It is also connected to Sea-NACCS. The system is thus able to send customers the data they require in Text format in a timely fashion.

i-Smart For Air: Integrated Air Cargo System

This system is capable of handling imports and exports, and can be used to generate air waybills, process consolidated cargo, handle invoicing and payments, and perform other statistical processing.
It is also possible to send and receive air waybill data from overseas agents. This allows our export data to be used by an overseas agent as import data, and conversely, for export data from an overseas agent to be used as import data for us.

i-Smart For Air: Integrated Air Cargo System
[ Exporting ]
Once air waybill data is registered, air tariffs are calculated automatically from a preset freight charge rate and an air waybill is generated. Consolidated cargo processing capabilities are also built into the system for confirmation of the state of consolidation and generation of a consolidated manifest. Invoicing and payment is carried out for each registered air waybill, but for consolidated cargo each "master air waybill" is used for invoicing and payment to the overseas agent.

i-Smart For Air: Export

[ Importing ]
Air tariffs (collect) and other charges are calculated from registered air waybill data.
Consolidated cargo processing is also handled, allowing confirmation of the state of consolidation.
Invoicing and payment is carried out for each registered air waybill.

i-Smart For Air: Import

[ Statistics ]
For both importing and exporting, many kinds of statistics by shipper, by destination, or other parameters can be tabulated from registered air waybill data, invoices, and payment information.
